[sip-comm-dev] About issue 361

#1

Hi,

While reading the issue list, I found the issue 361 : "Context menu on
systray icon doesn't stay"
https://sip-communicator.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=361

This issue was open in Jun 2007. Is the issue still valid ?

Cheers

Damien

Hi Damien,

I highly doubt that it is, especially after your recent changes to the
systray. In fact, the more recent problem was that the systray context menu
was staying even when it wasn't supposed to stay.

However, I only have a Windows system available to test on right now, and
the bug report says that it wasn't a problem in Windows, so could someone
else verify this?

Sorry, I didn't notice the OS-specific designation.

Hi Lubomir,

I just tested on my Ubuntu and the popup menu is ok.

My configuration :
- Ubuntu 9.04
- Java "1.6.0_0"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.4.1) (6b14-1.4.1-0ubuntu11)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 14.0-b08, mixed mode)

Maybe this problem comes with the 1.5 version of java which use Jdic ...

If that's the case, I will set up a virtual machine and work on this issue

Hi Lubomir, Vincent,

I tried on a newly installed jaunty with sun-java-jdk 1.6.0_16 and I never
got the bug (tried a lot of time and different configurations main window
visible / hidden, ...... ).

I also tested with XFCE and KDE and I finally got the bug. But it works
correctly with GNOME.

Now I can reproduce the bug, I will work on it.

Bye

Damien
