[sip-comm] Can't connect to a Nuance server running SIP

#1

I think I have isolated the problem even further and would like to share
my findings with you all.

It seems that nuance maybe generates SDP messages with an incompatible
syntax. Let me elaborate,

When I connect sip-communicator to a softphone (SJPhone) this following
sdpData (and sessionDescription) in mediaManager.java is generated:

v=0
o=- 3330417879 3330417879 IN IP4 132.196.73.158
s=SJphone
c=IN IP4 132.196.73.158
t=0 0
a=direction:active
m=audio 49152 RTP/AVP 0 101
a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000
a=rtpmap:101 telephone-event/8000
a=fmtp:101 0-11,16

which in turn generates this following mediaDescription:

[m=audio 49152 RTP/AVP 0 101
a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000
a=rtpmap:101 telephone-event/8000
a=fmtp:101 0-11,16
]

and sessionConnection:

c=IN IP4 132.196.73.158

All in all, everything works fine and cozy.

But when I connect to the nuance server, this following sdpData (and thus
sessionDescription) is generated:

v=0
o=- 1121429255 1121429255 IN IP4 132.196.73.158
s=SIP Call
t=0 0
m=audio 1122 RTP/AVP 0
c=IN IP4 132.196.73.158
a=rtpmap:0 pcmu/8000
m=video 0 RTP/AVP 26 34 31
c=IN IP4 132.196.73.158
a=recvonly

mediaDescriptions:

[m=audio 1122 RTP/AVP 0
c=IN IP4 132.196.73.158
a=rtpmap:0 pcmu/8000
, m=video 0 RTP/AVP 26 34 31
c=IN IP4 132.196.73.158
a=recvonly
]

and sessionConnection = null (don't instantiate).

So what do you all think? Any comments or ideas would greatly be
appreciated.
