[sip-comm] 3PCC

#1

I'm using SipComm on MAC with a softphone (phone toolbar) both connected
with a SipServer

I need to connect/disconnect SipComm using softphone ....

i've tried ... but while disconnection works well , connection doesn't

does this mean that 3PCC is not implemented or simply the ACK sip message
is not processed during ringing ?

Regards,
Bartolo

Could you please describe your scenario a bit better? Who's calling
who and who's trying to disconnect them and how?

A wireshark dump would also help a lot.

Cheers
Emil

Hi Emil
Thanks for replay Sorry for my incomplete description .... i try again I'm
testing SipComm in CTI scenario so i'd like to control SipComm through a
Phone Toolbar This means that I'll respond to incoming call not clicking on
SipComm but from toolbar and i need the same behaviour also for hangUp,
hold, conference and transfert actions. I'd want to propose the SipComm on
my project ... but i need to understand if is possible to implement these
behaviours

In Attach thre are to pictures that could help understanding

Yes, sure you can do this, as long as you respect SIP signaling. The
scenario you describe in TestScenario.png shows that SIP Communicator
receives an INVITE request and then an ACK without sending an OK. If I
understand your diagram correctly, then the OK seems to be leaving from
your "Phone Toolbar" application. SIP Communicator however is not aware
of this so it can only ignore/reject the following ACK (as would any
other sip phone)

I guess that what you need is a way of being able to control SIP
Communicator itself from the outside. You can do this by either
implementing a plug-in or by waiting for the Geek Communicator GSoC
project to complete. This would give you the possibility to make SIP
Communicator answer from by simply executing it with the correct
parameters.

Also, you may want to have a look at RFC 3725 [1] for a few examples of
how 3PCC is supposed to happen as your scenario doesn't exactly match
the general case.

Cheers
Emil
