Setup of recording destination of private installation

I have a private installation of Jitsi and I notice that there is a “record” button now enabled. However, it does not offer me a place to record the session. How would I set that up? I could read the code to figure out a destination, but I am wondering if there is already a way to do so.

Thanks.

Harish

The recording folder is in the output

grep recording_directory /etc/jitsi/jibri/config.json

thank you. that’s very helpful.

i just checked my installation and there isn’t a jibri directory. what could I be missing?

it seems that in /etc/jitsi/meet/server-name-config.js there are recording settings that are commented out. i will check them out.

It’s needed to install Jibri to record/stream a conference. This folder is created while installing Jibri. Did you install it?

Not yet. I did an install on a standard Debian instance. Let me check on installing Jibri in that. Thanks for the tip.
