Service Webserver failed to build : Temporary failure/Failed to Fetch

Note : Testing whether changes to frontend web work by making small changes !

Hi,
I’ve made small changes to the webversion on only the UI side and copied the resulting folder after make & make source-package. The resulting folder ‘myapp_web’ is placed inside the web folder of docker-jitsi-meet.I have copied the following 2 lines above the EXPOSE command inside the Dockerfile for web :

COPY myapp_web/ /usr/share/jitsi-meet/
COPY myapp_web/interface_config.js /defaults/interface_config.js

The images tag everywhere has been kept as stable ( .env, individual docker files and docker-compose.yml).

However , when i run docker-compose.yml i get the following error.

You failed contact the Debian official servers. Maybe there was a glitch on their or your network.

Hi. Anything wrong with the code @saghul. Hope im doing it correctly witb the changes ?

Furthur to above, to troubleshoot further i tried commenting out image : in the docker-compose.yml for each of the containers and use build context to use the dockerfile for each service. The web and jibri showing the same error above, others building successfully.

Another try : For the web , i changed stable to latest and a got a “could not find manifest” errror instead.

Your server seems to have internet problems. It’s not a problem in your code AFAICT.

Ok. Are the 2 COPY commands correct as regards with the destination path. I have put a traliling slash (after jitsi-meet/) which im not sure about. Should the slash be there ?

I think they are correct, yes.

@saghul Any solution on what could be done for the core issue at hand regarding network as specified. Its happening only for web and jibri. Strange isn’t it ?
