Self-Hosted Jitsi Meet - Users can not receive video or audio sometimes


There is a sporadic and elusive issue where certain users can see thumbnails for other people, and the blue bars move when they speak, but thumbnails display only the initials and no audio is transmitted. Same thing goes vice versa, meaning other people can see their thumbnail and initials, but no video or audio.

I’ve noticed this happens to users with Safari, and it fixes itself upon clearing the cache. But since I can’t reliably ask end users to clear their caches if they run into a problem, I require a more permanent solution.

I can share logs upon request, though I couldn’t see any errors. Thanks in advance for your help.
