Security model for chat?

Does anyone know the current security model for chat in jitsi-meet?
I know it is not end to end encrypted and it is “only” protected by TLS, but I was wondering if it’s also stored in the browser cache and/or anywhere server side?

The link between the browser and the xmpp server is over https.
The conference exists till the last person leaves, then if you enter the same name a new conference is created (this corresponds to xmpp muc).

In order to show message history to newly joined people the xmpp server keeps in memory the last 20 messages and once the conference is destroyed (no participants) those messages are lost. Of course no local/browser saving of messages.
So - nothing is stored.

Thanks @damencho
