Secret public url?

hello,

i want to hide my jitsi installation from the public, i.e. i want to have:

https://my.jitsi.server/hiddenurl

that url should only be shared with friends & co.

how can this be achieved ?

Welcome to the community.

AFAIK, hosting Jitsi on a subpath can get really messy and prone to errors.

Rather than trying to obscure the path to Jitsi, it might be more effective and manageable if you just added auth so only your friends can create/join rooms. You could use Secure Domain or JWT auth.

Once you’ve secured your installation, which is usually sufficient to stop unwanted usage, if you still want to go down the obfuscation route I suppose you could use some random domain name (e.g. meet98162736.mydomain.com) and rotate it periodically.
