Scalable setup

I install jitsi-meet following quick setup on server1. Now i want to setup one more jitsi videobridge to scalable setup on server2. How can i did that?

Take a look here: DevOps Guide (scalable setup) · Jitsi Meet Handbook

I am trying to do the same, but that guide is lacking basic examples and broken links, the other guides are more comprehensive. After installing a new Jitsi server via Self-Hosting Guide - Debian/Ubuntu server | Jitsi Meet (yes I have one jvb in there too) and then spinning up another one with just jitsi-videobridge2 and opening ports, can you provide what exact config changes are required in:

On Jitsi server (hosted in my.domain.jitsi):
/etc/prosody/prosody.cfg.lua
/etc/prosody/conf.avail/meet.example.com.cfg.lua
/etc/jitsi/jicofo/config
/etc/jitsi/jicofo/sip-communicator.properties

On JVB server (hosted in my.domain.jvb):
/etc/jitsi/videobridge/config
/etc/jitsi/jicofo/sip-communicator.properties

Also, are IP’s enough for jvb servers or will I need to register domains and certs?

Thanks

The configs are exactly the same in all the bridges, you just need to make sure each bridge has a unique nickname.

IPs are fine.

Fixed on my JVB server:

  1. edit /etc/hosts first line → my.domain.jitsi
  2. edit /etc/jitsi/videobridge/sip-communicator.properties → org.jitsi.videobridge.xmpp.user.shard.PASSWORD={THE SAME ONE ON THE SAME FILE IN JITISI SERVER}
