Recording goes for like 30 seconds - 1 minute then stops with just saying "Recording has stopped"

When trying to record in Jibri I wait a long time for it to “initiate” but all I get is that it’s preparing and after 30 seconds - 5 minutes I hear “Recording has stopped” could anyone explain to me what is happening
?
Here are the logs:

log.0.txt (1.2 MB) browser.0.txt (2.3 MB) ffmpeg.0.txt (97.1 KB)

Does Jibri have access to the recording folder?
Also, check permissions for /tmp/chromedriver.log - make sure Jibri can write to it.

yes

chromedriver.log (47.0 KB)

what’s the result of this command:

ls -l /tmp

You used an installer to install Jitsi?

initially, but it screwed it up and I didn’t know how to remove it - emrah-tools/jitsi-buster-installer at main · emrahcom/emrah-tools · GitHub

It looks like Jibri is being told to stop by Jicofo. Can you attach Jicofo logs?

sure
jicofo.log (533.7 KB)

Are those the right Jicofo logs (from when the issue happened)? I don’t see any instances of jibri in that file.

these are the right ones: jicofo.log (289.6 KB)

Hello @Derek_Owumi,

I can check your server and why my installer didn’t work correctly if you can give me SSH access

are you on matrix?

yes

Hm, so Jibri sends a pending response

2021-02-02 05:43:53.645 INFO: [18643] org.jitsi.jibri.api.xmpp.XmppApi.handleStartJibriIq() Sending 'pending' response to start IQ

And Jicofo receives it:

Jicofo 2021-02-02 05:43:53.646 INFO: [636] org.jitsi.jicofo.recording.jibri.JibriSession.log() Got Jibri status update: Jibri jibribrewery@internal.auth.my.domain.com/jibri-nickname has status pending and failure reason null, current Jibri jid is jibribrewery@internal.auth.my.domain.com/jibri-nickname

But then Jicofo complains about a timeout waiting for the pending response:

Jicofo 2021-02-02 05:45:23.458 SEVERE: [150] org.jitsi.jicofo.recording.jibri.JibriSession.log() Jibri pending timeout! upsetsurvivalsreinforcetotally@conference.my.domain.com

What versions of Jicofo and Jibri are you using?

I belive this is the latest, but how do I check

I once had the same Problem and solved it by downgrading the JAVA Version. Sorry, forgot about the Version Numbers.

I’ve seen this behavior when alone in a room.
Whenever someone else join and start the meeting this is no longer an issue.

Could that be you case @Derek_Owumi ?

I sent you a message on matrix just upgraded to 20.04
