Prosody Error - attempt to index field '?'

We have Jitsi meet installed on Ubuntu server. It was working fine but then suddenly users started getting disconnected. JVB started showing too many socket connection errors - “No active socket” in the JVB log file.

The prosody.err file has following error message:

Feb 24 17:46:13 general error Top-level error, please report:
/usr/lib/prosody/modules/mod_bosh.lua:483: attempt to index field ‘?’ (a nil value)

What could it be?

Any chance your server is overloaded with connections?

There were only 2 conferences with 16 participants in total at the moment this message was logged in Prosody Err. The server is a 16 core CPU with 32 Gig RAM.

I got the same error on one of my Jitsi instances.
Another observation is that there were duplicate participants in the conference room.
