Problems to install jitsi in ubuntu

Hi guys,
I am installing jitsi meet in ubuntu 16.04, I stuck in this step:

gpg --search-keys
I am getting this message:
gpg: no keyserver known (use option --keyserver)
gpg: keyserver search failed: bad URI

I am root of the installation, running ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64 bits.
the previous steps are ok, please do you have any idea?

thanks in advance

C‘mon. use Ubuntu 18.04. why 16.04??

So, It is working only from ubuntu 18.04?. I understood that is supported from Ubuntu 16.04. In case of Debian from which version?

hi guys, in ubuntu 18.04 i am stuck in this step:

sudo echo ‘deb stable/’ > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi-stable.list
I get:
bash: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi-stable.list: Permission denied

any idea?
Thanks in advance

the syntax is wrong, you missed a >

sudo echo 'deb stable/' >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi-stable.list

and after you run the above command run this…

wget -qO - | sudo apt-key add -

hi masteryoda,
i am getting the same message:
sudo echo ‘deb stable/’ >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi-stable.list
bash: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi-stable.list: Permission denied

Continuing the discussion from Problems to install jitsi in ubuntu:

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb stable/' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi-stable.list"

Letsencrypt servers need to verify your DNS, you need a DNS record for your domain.
