Problem connecting Android app and Windows PC on the same time

Hi,

I have now installed Jitsi Meet on my server using the official guide (https://meet.schlipf-it.de, if you wanna test). It is a V-Server by Strato, 16 GB RAM and 6 cores. All the time I have the problem, that I can setup a meeting with somebody, but I cannot hear or see them in the meeting.

I just tested it with my sister, but I also had this before with other persons. She joined the meeting with her Android phone using the App. I have joined the meeting with my Windows Computer (Firefox), but I could not hear or see her. Then I joined with my Android phone using the App, but I could not hear my self (using my Computer) or hear/see my sister. After I closed Jitsi on my Computer, I was able to hear and see her.

We also had this a few days before (I was using my phone and she was on her computer (Firefox). We decided to switch to the official Jitsi Servers and did not have this kind of problem there.
I tried to reinstall Jitsi multiple times and tired Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Debian 9. There is nothing else running on that server. Does anybody have a clue what is wrong there?

You can find log files here: https://aschlipf.de/s/e9YRRmxTKiqqjss
The example meeting with my sister was on 29th of march at about 19:20.

Thanks for helping.

Andy

Hi,

Hi,

They just answered. The answer is on German language (see below). In prnciple they state that they do not block certain software. But if a software needs access to the kernel or tries to allocate ressources, then it will be blocked by the virtualisation they use.

Reply of Strato:

Andy

I Switched to Netcup. Nativ Installation. Works perfekt.
