Passing Events from Jitsi iOS/Android App to a URL

Hello Community,
Glad to see so much enthusiasm around the Jitsi product, API and App alike :slight_smile:
I have a question for you.
From a responsive website on a browser, I send users directly to the Jitsi App (not the iframe) using

A HREF= "org.jitsi.meet://meet.jit.si/SomeRoomeName#jitsi_meet_external_api_id=0&userInfo.displayName=SomeDisplayName"

I’d like the same Events that the iframe API returns through the following

    const api = new JitsiMeetExternalAPI(domain, options);
    api.addListener("videoConferenceJoined", (event) => {
        $.ajax('video-webhook?videoid=123&participantID=456&action=joined');
        });
  1. Is the app able to communicate events back to a URL?
  2. How do I supply this URL to the app through the launch URL org.jitsi.meet://meet.jit.si/ ?
    Thank you so much for your help!

It’s not possible to pass events like that. That URL will just open the Android app and join a meeting.

Right @saghul (or anyone else who might know)
That URL opens the actual mobile Jitsi app.
Does the app send events out - like user joins, user hangs up, app is closed…
Can the app be given a URL to send these events to, just like the Jitsi iframe does?
Thank you :slight_smile:

Not it doesn’t do that. It does send native events in case you are embedding the SDK in your own app though: Android SDK · Jitsi Meet Handbook
