Participants muted

I am new in jitsi. Seems to me a fine programme. I had a few good tests via the jit.si server api. Now I’ve just created my own instance (on our own server). Seems okay, but … participants appear muted (camera and microphone off), though they have their camera and microphone switched on. So everybody can only hear/see him/her self! I’ve searched a lot in forums and internet, but did not find a solution. Have I made a mistake when installing?
Thanks in advance for the attention and hoping for a solution.

Checkout the advanced section of the quick install guide https://jitsi.org/qi

Hello again,

Thanks for your quick reaction (advanced section).

I did so (many times), adapted, but no solution.

Seems to be the same problem as in
https://community.jitsi.org/t/two-broswers-opened-in-the-same-room-but-they-dont-see-each-other-solved/15706/11

But …… (if this is the solution) … where do I change/add the line below (which file to adapt)?

org.jitsi.videobridge.AUTHORIZED_SOURCE_REGEXP=focus@auth.jitsi.mydomain.org/.*

Thanks in advance,
Fokko Dijkstra

I can’t see how this could be a solution since it’s a non default option, you should know if you added it wouldn’t you ?
I think that was asked of you is to follow the advanced section and to check that your access to port 10000 is active, such as following the advice here

Hello again,
Thanks or reacting, but …

tried to do this before.

Ufw status active

Nginx Full ALLOW Anywhere

And

nc -zvu 10000
Gives: [my IP] 10000 (?) open

I can open a room with the same name on different computers, but they do not combine to one meeting
Trying to start via (tablet) app to this instance fails completely

Best regards,
Fokko
