ONline-status for SIP connection fails

#1

I’m trying to use JITSI-desktop for an IP-phone from a router FritzBox 7490.

Following the instructions from UbuntuUsers the error message sounds “fritz.box server does not accept the defined user” and I tried several names like “620”, “620_AT_xyzabc.myfritz.net” etc. Attached the log for the last trial.

Following the second instruction an error message like “can’t connect to fritz.box” is provided.

What can I do to fix the issue?
Thank you.

No answer up to now: Anything wrong with my question or information missing?

Tried the JITSI-desktop from https://desktop.jitsi.org/Main/Download#stableline meanwhile also under WINDOWS: Same fault.
Would you recommend to follow the install instructions from https://jitsi.org/downloads/ instead of the above?

I solved it; to get the ONline-status for an SIP-Account to FritzBox 7490, the following settings work:

  • SIP-Account > UserAccount:
  • SIP-Name: NAME as defined in FritzBox-Settings Phone > PhoneDevices > AccountData > USERNAME
  • Password: PASSWORD as defined in FritzBox-Settings Phone > PhoneDevices > AccountData > PASSWORD
  • Connection:
  • Registrar: fritz.box, Port: 5060
  • Name for Connection: as above USERNAME
