Newbie to Jitsi

I would like to test out Jitsi for an assignment and I’m using Windows 10.
I tried going to Jitsi Desktop’s documentation and I’m unsure of how to actually get it to work.

I have been looking around and saw this. Is Jitsi Meet different from Jitsi Desktop?

I’m basically trying to get a video conference to work between 2 Windows laptop and make sure the base system is working, before I make any changes.

Welcome to the forum.

Indeed, Jitsi Desktop is different from Jitsi Meet. The former has been deprecated, the latter is what you really need. You can just launch a browser to start and join a Jitsi Meet conference. Test it out at http://meet.jit.si. Happy Jitsi-ing! :smiley:

Is it possible to get the source code and develop on Windows 10?

Yes, you need a Linux VM

Windows users just need to use Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
