Microphone doesn't work on laptop

Hello everyone,

On Jitsi, some interlocutors have their microphone that does not work. No one can hear them, but they can hear us.

This phenomenon occurs both on meet.jit.si and on my own dedicated installation.

I took control of their computer via teamviewer… the sound setting is perfect ; I have had the message “jitsi meet need to use your microphone and camera” And, of course, I click YES ; I tried with Firefox, with Chrome : same issue !

Moreover, these interlocutors tell me that everything is working well with zoom and teams.

I do not understand.

Have the affected users run a test at test.webrtc.org.

P.S: Zoom and teams are not WebRTC applications.

Can you upload js console logs from such a problem session?

There is a lot of log file. Which would be the most relevant?

Nope, I don’t see the js console logs from the browser.
