MEETING FOR A DETERMINED TIME

Hello.
If I want to create a link for a set time for a meeting, for example, active for 2 hours, how do I do it?

If you are asking about meet.jit.si there is no such feature.
If you are asking about your deployment you need to play with the reservations system and add your own reservation service https://github.com/jitsi/jicofo/blob/master/doc/reservation.md

While it’s not a current feature in Jitsi, there is a way to cheat and do this.

  1. Enable authenticated rooms. That is, the room does not exist until a moderator logs in. See: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-jitsi-meet-on-ubuntu-18-04 starting at step 5.
  2. Follow the thread at Close room properly (prosody custom module) and implement mod_destroy_on_exit.lua
  3. Now for the cheat: Have the moderator join. This creates the room. After 2 hours, have the moderator leave – this destroys the room.

It’s not an automated timer, but it’s a way to close down a room when you’re done.

Thank you. I don’t know if I can do this through my system, but the response was very good.
