Meeting error ("Unfortunately, something went wrong")

Good day community, I’ve setuped JWT authentication for Jitsi
( tutorial: https://github.com/mjtiempo/Docs/blob/master/Jitsi%20Meet%20Installation.md )

After successful configuration I decided to test how it works: created a meeting in Town Square and entered the meeting with user 1 from chrome and with user 2 from firefox.

After 1 second meeting just crashed. When user alone in, everything is fine, but when someone is connecting and entering the meeting too, session just crash.

What could be wrong? Should I attach any logs?

The videobridge problem… I think it is not related with JWT

What could be? I’ve already checked same issues in the community, but nothing helped me. Tried this one: SASLError using SCRAM-SHA-1: not-authorized - on Debian buster system with existing prosody . I checked server hostname and setuped it to “my-server.com”. What is more I added to /etc/prosody/conf.d/my-server.com.cfg.lua:

Component “jitsi-videobridge.my-server.com”
component_secret = “SECRET_KEY”

Can you give any advice?

I don’t know what was going wrong in your installation. I think it will be better if you try to install a fresh, working Jitsi system before adding the JWT support.

Install Jitsi as docker container
Change .env file settings as described in documentation.

Did you solve your original error?
I followed the official instructions for Debian/Ubuntu on a fresh Ubuntu install and got the same error about JVM not being able to start.

Hello,

I had the same log from my freshly install of Ubuntu 20.10

I had to install openjdk11
And set the default openjdk to the version 11 :

sudo update-alternatives --config java

Jitsi documentation specifies that OpenJDK 8 or OpenJDK 11 must be used
