conference unusable with Chrome, audio issues with Firefox

As part of my Jul 6th 6:30PM-8PM EDT event with about 15 participants to test Jitsi a user Joe submitted this report:

Role: Meeting Attendee

Machine Description: Each attempt to log in was used 2019 Lenovo 300e (2 – in 1 business laptop/tablet). Intel Celeron Quad-Core N3450 2.2Ghz, 4GB DDR4, 64GB.

Summary :

  • User attempted to log in using two separate browsers Google Chrome and Firefox;
  • Browsers were used independent of each other;
  • Google Chrome was completely inoperable – inoperable meaning that the screen appeared but froze shortly after entering an existing Jitsi conference;
  • Firefox was functional but problematic - sound quality ranged somewhere between poor to completely dysfunctional;
  • All users found the video and sound quality to be subpar and participants were unwilling to try and build something

Note: User was able to connect through Pixal 3 Android phone without any difficulties.
