ability to lock rooms after everyone has joined would be nice
you can lock room with password so no one can’t join that conference without password.
yes but lets say a teacher was hosting a room with a password and a student invites someone else then you have to keep changing the password, if there was a lock room button this would limit this.
why I have to keep changing the password? password remains same
Yes the password can remain the same what I’m saying is the lock feature can be a added security measure on top of the password so when everyone in the meeting is in you can just lock it so no one else can join. Cause what stops someone from taking the meeting name and password and posting it online
in present (I checked now), if someone set password others can’t see the password directly but he can remove/change the password.
If u want this custom environment u have to implement moderator mode where only pre-selected moderator are able to create the room and lock and have kick power. after quick install (https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/doc/quick-install.md) then u have to follow https://github.com/jitsi/jicofo#secure-domain. as meet.jit.si is a public server thats why it is not implemented there…but u can deploy on ur own
