Launch web mode directly

Hi,

I’ve just completed a totally standard Jitsi setup, bootstrapping the JitsiMeetExternalApi via index.html like so:

<script src='https://meet.jit.si/external_api.js'></script>

My config:

this.meetingOptions = {
      roomName: 'nkbfjksbfksdbfjsbfksb',
      width: 700,
      height: 700,
      parentNode: document.querySelector('#meet'),
      interfaceConfigOverwrite: {
        MOBILE_APP_PROMO: false
      },
    };
    this.meetingApi = new JitsiMeetExternalAPI(this.meetingDomain, this.meetingOptions);

Is it possible to detect if the user is on a non-mobile web browser and launch straight into web mode without showing this dialogue?

As you can probably see, I thought I might be able to hide this screen with the MOBILE_APP_PROMO: false override but that didn’t work.

Thanks

Try setting this to true https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/config.js#L489
