JitsiConference.js: Failed to send a ping request or response

#1

I’m getting this in xcode logs when just using the sample app code but changing it to our jitsi-meet installation. The only thing I changed is the server. When I use meet.jit.si server, I don’t get this error.

Any help on how to fix this warning? Also, what is the library trying to ping?

Ouch! Did you just call our Jitsi Meet app for Android and iOS which is released in Google Play and App Store a mere “sample app”?!

Anyway, the Jitsi Meet app (regardless of platform/OS and including on the Web) utilizes XMPP and uses an XMPP ping to keep its XMPP connection alive and let the server know that it’s still connected and functioning as expected. In case you’d like to read more about XMPP pings, please refer to https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0199.html.

Thanks! …and next time I’ll be careful how I call the app  I didn’t mean it to sound that way. It’s great that it’s available for us, as I use it a lot to learn on how to use the SDK.
