[jitsi-users] ZRTP string comparison process

#1

Hi all,

One part of the Jitsi UI which myself and others have found awkward is
the ZRTP string comparison process.

Having clicked on the yellow padlock, i'm presented with a string, and a
button saying 'Clear'. i need to click that, in order to get the same
string presented again, but this time with a 'Confirm' button. i then
get a message acknowledging confirmation. i then have to click on a
close tie to remove the comparison/confirmation dialog.

i would find it more straightforward if, upon clicking the yellow
padlock, one was immediately presented with a 'Confirm' button for the
string (perhaps alongside a 'Cancel' button, for if one doesn't wish to
complete the process). Once the 'Confirm' button is pressed, a 'Close'
button could be presented near the message acknowledging confirmation.

Does this sound reasonable? Are there blockers that could (or do)
prevent this UI flow?

Alexis.

I believe you are experiencing a bug. I have experienced the same bug,
but other times it works just like you would expect.

Oh okay .... i've never observed the UI working any other way. i'm on
Debian Linux (Wheezy); but at least one other person i know experiences
it consistently on Win (both 7 and 8, i think).
