Hey Rene,

Not currently. We've been thinking about them though (even if not with any particular urgency).

Incidentally. Are you aware which servers support them?

Cheers,
Emil

I have been playing with openfire that has an plugin. I have been using
jitsi now for a while and just recently started to look at XMPP. Perhaps it
would not be too hard to write if I get a hand

Nothing ever is

Let us know if you get there and we can talk about it.

The main issue would be to decide on the usability part. When do we alert the user and when do we just silently add them to the local history?

One way of distinguishing could be to silently add anything that came before the last message we know about, and alert about any message that's newer.

Cheers,
Emil
