[jitsi-users] XMPP connection problems

#1

Hi there,

I’m trying to use Jitsi with my Jabber/XMPP account, but don’t
seem to get it to work. I’ve an account at iera.de, and every time I
try to connect to it via Jitsi, it asks me for my credentials all over
again, although I’m 100% sure they’re correct (and they do work with my
other XMPP client, Gajim). Starting Jitsi from the console, I get this:

21:51:55.506 Schwerwiegend:
impl.protocol.jabber.ProtocolProviderServiceJabberImpl.reregister().541
Error ReRegistering SASL authentication DIGEST-MD5 failed:
incorrect-encoding: at
org.jivesoftware.smack.SASLAuthentication.authenticate(SASLAuthentication.java:337)

This is with Jitsi 1.1.0-build.4185. The Java in use is this one:

% java -version
java version "1.7.0_05-icedtea"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea7 2.2.1) (ArchLinux build
7.u5_2.2.1-1-x86_64) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.0-b21, mixed
mode)

OS is Arch Linux, 64bits. I’ve attached the complete output of a Jitsi
run.

How to get around this?

Valete,
Marvin
