[jitsi-users] Windows 10 and Jitsi meet issue

#1

Hi all,

Did any of you face an issue where Windows 10 machines block webrtc? The scenario:

Windows 10 computer
Jitsi meet connects
No video or audio flows in either direction.

This is for both UDP and TCP configurations of video bridge.

Thanks,

Hi Osama,

Which browser are you using? Could you please try to temporarily disable the Windows firewall to see if it makes any difference?

Best,
George

Hi George,

We are using Chrome. The funny thing I thought it was a network issue. But to my surprise from the same network Windows 7/Chrome works but Widnows10/Chrome does not.

I don’t see any reason why the Windows 10 could cause such a problem. It is also random for different Windows 10.

Hi Osama,

Windows has a firewall that’s enabled by default I think. Maybe it got stricter with Windows 10. Can you successfully hold a 1-1 call on https://apprtc.appspot.com/? <https://apprtc.appspot.com/?>

Best,
George
