[jitsi-users] Where is finalize_recording.sh for jibri ?

#1

I installed jibri with cmd : sudo apt-get install jibri
as https://github.com/jitsi/jibri instructed at my Ubuntu16 VPS.

At the /home/jibri dir. , I only found ./.asoundrc and a folder .icewm . Where is the script please ?

You have to create finalize_recording.sh on your own, as what it does is
entirely dependent on what you want it to do. So just create one and then
point to its location in config.json

There is a sample one here:
https://github.com/jitsi/jibri/blob/master/resources/finalize_recording.sh,
but it's really just a placeholder.

Jibri got rewritten recently, have a look at this: https://github.com/jitsi/jibri#what-happened-to-the-old-jibri

I see . Can this script just do nothing ? What does "xmpp_server_hosts" mean at the new config file ? Does "xmpp_domain" refer to the prosody/jitsi_meet server/VPS ?

Regards !

Jibri doesn't care what the script does...it's just a runtime hook for
post-processing recordings (for transcoding, uploading, whatever you
want). There is a documented sample of the new config.json file here:
https://github.com/jitsi/jibri/blob/master/resources/debian-package/etc/jitsi/jibri/config.json
