[jitsi-users] Video

#1

Hello,

on my laptop I can't see my integrated webcam preview (I see only a grey
rectangle) nor other people webcam or desktop share. Other people can see me
through my webcam and I can see my webcam output through other software, so it
seems it's working. I can't see any particular error on Jitsi, simply my
laptop can not render Jitsi video output...

On another PC with the same configuration and a usb cam everything works,
except I can't see local video during video calls.

My configuration is:

* Toshiba Satellite with Chicony USB 2.0 Camera (/dev/video0)

* Linux Debian 7

* java version "1.6.0_24"
  OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.11.1) (6b24-1.11.1-3)
  OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0-b12, mixed mode)

* Jitsi 1.0.1-build.3967

Regards,
  Matteo

Folks

When I try to call from Jitsi (using a Gmail account) to a another Gmail account (not in Jitsi), I get the following message: "Could not establish connection. (ICE failed)". I am guessing it may have to do with the encodings, but I don't know which more to activate. I have activated PCMU/8000 and G722/16000, because with those the connection to telephones works well. ¿Suggestions? I am attaching the most recent log, which I suppose gathers the error I am reporting

Thank you for your help

Paul

Hey Matteo,

Could you please try with the latest nightly? There have been some fixes
on local video in the past weeks.

I tried right now, thanks:

   jitsi (1.0.1-build.3967 => 1.1-nightly.build.4017)

But, I still can't see video output:

$ jitsi -d
warning: The VAD has been replaced by a hack pending a complete rewrite
11:20:48.677 GRAVE: impl.protocol.jabber.ProtocolProviderServiceJabberImpl.connectUsingSRVRecords().855 No SRV addresses found for xmpp-client.
11:21:06.826 GRAVE: impl.protocol.sip.SipMessageFactory.throwOperationFailedException().2382 Failed to create SUBSCRIBE request.

No other messages even when I go to Tools->Options->Video and
I still can see only a grey rectangle...

Thanks anyway,
  Matteo

It's most probably due to a problem that we are currently having with
the Google relays. We are currently looking at it.

Cheers,
