[jitsi-users] Video layout on canvas

#1

Hi,

Is it possible to change video layout on jitsi-meet.
For example I don't want to use main video with small film-strips of other
users, but would more like 2x2 or 2x3 layout.

Does this mean that I need to set different a=ssrc in SDP or can this be
done on server config somehow?

This would be a UI change in JavaScript as we don't support it now.

Do you mean custom built client or custom built focus?

For the focus, you basically need to implement this:
https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-videobridge/blob/master/doc/rest-videobridge.md

For the client you only need it to support webrtc ... some of the
extra information comes from data channels (Hristo, do we have that
documented?) but things should basically work even without that.

Hi,

Emil, I'm not aware of any documentation that describes the data channel
messages that we use.

Mirko, if you want to use different UI you can also use lib-jitsi-meet
project and implement custom UI for it.

Regards,
Hristo.

HI Emil, Hristo,

lib-jitsi-meet is exactly what I ment, thank you very much.

It is a big project (a lot of components) so I'm still trying to
grasp/understand them all

Mirko
