[jitsi-users] Using Jitsi Videobridge standalone

#1

Greetings,

I'm building a WebRTC conference site and evaluating the possibles SFU
softwares to use.
After reading the docs about the Jitsi Videobridge, I still have a question:

The videobridge is presented always as a XMPP component. But, if my app
manages all the room and conference logic, is it possible to directly
control the videobridge only to manage the WebRTC video connections, using
the application to send SDPs and ICE candidates to the bridge?

I didn't found an interface to send the SDPs and ICE candidates to the
bridge as it is possible with other SFU units.

Any light on this matter?

Best Regards,

Marcio

You can control the videobridge through the COLIBRI protocol[0] (or through its REST translation[1]).

Boris
