[jitsi-users] users Digest, Vol 50, Issue 33

#1

Hello guys,
Yes I mean for our mobile app.
Yes, we want to integrate Jitsi Videochat into our mobile app without opening the Jitsi Meet App.
So, anybody out there who could help us to integrate it (payment inclusive).
Thank you.

Best regards
Benjamin

Hi All,

As recommended by the list, Drutopia met at
https://meet.jit.si/Drutopia

There were four of us on the call- R, L, C, B for the sake of this summary.

Here were the issues we experienced.

1. C experienced choppy audio. This was resolved when toggling off video.
2. L could not hear C or B's audio at all. C and B could however hear
L's audio.
- L signed off and signed back on in hopes of resolving the issue.
This worked for hearing B's audio, but not C's.
- C signed off and signed back on and it did resolve the issue. L was
able to hear C from that point on.
4. When C signed off, then signed back on R was no longer able to hear
C. C could hear R however.

Let me know if there is any additional info that could be helpful in
troubleshooting this.

Hi Clayton,

What browsers were each of the participants using? IIRC there have been some recent issues with Firefox which I’m not sure have been addressed / deployed yet.

Cheers,

Sure thing, have a look here: https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet

Is it possible to integrate Jitsi into our App without opening Jitsi in browser or in its own app?

Do you mean your mobile app? You can use custom scheme links in the form of org.jitsi.meet:https://your-server.com/room and the Jitsi Meet app will open, if the user installed it, that is. Alternatively you’d have to integrate the Jitsi Meet app into your own, which is not very straightforward at the moment...

We would require some help in this issues and we would pay someone who could help, upgrade or program something.

We don’t provide such service, but there are people on this list who do, hopefully they’ll read your message soon!

Cheers,

Hi,

Thanks for that .

I actually meant ensuring all server side logs are disabled and/or removed.

Oh, I see. Then there are a bunch of components which need adjusting:

- web server
- prosody (xmpp server)
- jicofo
- jitsi-videobridge

I believe joust by editing the corresponding sip-communicator.properties files in /etc/jitsi/* should take care of it for the last 2.

Hope that helps!

Hi there,

I assume you mean the browser console logs, right? In that case, you
can control it with the logging_config file:
https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/logging_config.js

You could set the default level to ‘error’ to disable other logger overrides and that way only errors will show up in the bowser console.

Cheers,

Is your mobile app a React native app?

Jitsi-meet mobile app is based on React native.
