I'm running the latest version of Jitsi and it seems there is a bug
that's been around for a while surfacing. Here are the details:
Sometimes, when Jitsi is loading, it takes a little while to load and
configure everything for some reason and, sometimes, the splash screen
doesn't show while this is happening. Naturally, after a reasonable
amount of time, I click the icon again thinking perhaps I didn't click
it the first time. When this happens, Jitsi completely dumps the
contact and account list. The program loads as though it were the
first time it is being run and requests that you configure your accounts.
The files that hold your contact list and/or account information re
still there and you can open them up and read them. They do not appear
to be corrupt at all. Jitsi just seems to lose track of them for some
reason. Closing Jitsi and reloading it does not fix the issue nor does
rebooting the system completely. I've observed this issue on both
Windows (7, 8.1) and Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora).
Does anyone have a clue as to what might be going on? I'm 'thinking'
it might be some sort of file locking problem but I'd like input from
other users who've experienced this and maybe some devs?
