[jitsi-users] Trying to make Jitsi register at a 4PSA VoipNow Professional Server

#1

Hi
I tried to make Jitsi register at a 4PSA VoipNow Professional Server and failed. The account i use works fine with Xlite and Ninja softphones. I also tried Jitsi on a Freeswitch in the DMZ server and failed as well. Here are the logs, maybe someone can help? I think this would be a valuable softphone as it is OSS and multiplatform, supporting a vast feature set and looking good!
Best regards,
Rolf

Hey Rolf,

Sorry for the delay. Just had a look at your logs. It appears that Jitsi
keeps sending tens of REGISTER requests and the server never replies to
any of them.

It is hard to guess why the server is acting this way and what it is
that they don't like in our messages. Contacting their support center
(if they have one) could help.

I've applied for a test account with them. I'll give it a try if I get it.

Cheers,
Emil

Hi Emil,
it seems that just our VoipNow setup does not like Jitsi; i posted in the 4psa forum and two members could make it work without any problems on their own infrastructure; so it does not seem to be a VN Professional issue in general. Our environment has been setup by 4PSA, so it is common.
I will send you credentials for a test account on our server.
Thank you, regards,
Rolf

Hey Rolf,

Just got the test account I applied for.

I could register successfully with Jitsi and setting
mynumber@cloudtel.4psa.com as the SIP id and my password underneath.

I could also make a test call.

In short everything seemed to be working properly.
