[jitsi-users] Trademark etc.

#1

Hello,

I am creating a how to set up Jitsi client PDF guide and want to

add language which specifically states that Jitsi is a registered
trademark of (organization, etc etc), and that our institute is
not affiliated. Where can I obtain the correct information in
order to do this?

Jitsi is indeed a registered trademark and belongs to BlueJimp, SARL,
France.

There's no page containing this information, but that's all there is to it.

Cheers,
Emil

Will you publish the guide afterwards (including (LaTeX) sources).
There isnt that much documentation around and it would be nice for new
users.

We'd be happy to reference it from jitsi.org.

Also, if you like, we can create a wiki account for you so that you
could create the tutorial directly on the site.

Cheers,
Emil

We can certainly do so (our organization’s logo
would have to appear on it though, not sure if that’s ok). It is
meant to be as simple as possible as it is a practical tool for us
(an NGO) to work with project personnel who may be scattered
across the country (Tanzania) or internationally. Suggestions are
certainly warmly welcomed.

Ok,

Have a look at the previously attached document, if it is similar to
what you are in need of I think I could help.

Looks good! Noticed one minor thing: one could create a jit.si account
directly from within Jitsi ... I suppose some users may find this
slightly easier?

Would you like to translate this in wiki formatting and edit it on
jitsi.org or would you prefer us to link directly to your pdf?

Doing it in wiki formatting would allow others to chime in and improve
it later on.

I think it makes sense to have the Wiki in place
and could contribute towards it. The PDF that we have likely won’t
be online for a few more months. I could assist with this around
the beginning of the year as these next few weeks I will have
limited time.

And indeed it is probably useful to mention this
way of creating an account within the program itself.
