[jitsi-users] Temasys plugin not working in Safari

#1

I’m running Safari 10.0 on MacOS Sierra 10.12 on an iMac. I am prompted to download the Temasys plugin and that seems to install OK, but Jitsi Meet still doesn’t work in Safari. I’ve downloaded multiple times, restarted Safari, restarted the iMac, trashed the old plugin and reinstalled, and so forth.

This isn’t a problem for me because I just switch to Chrome, but thought I’d report it. Safari with WebRTC can’t come soon enough!

Hello David,

We are aware of this problem and have made a fix recently which should
be available on beta.meet.jit.si. It makes Jitsi Meet recognise the
plugin and continue, but there are more problems to be fixed, before
it can be considered stable. Some of the know issues are for example
that the screen sharing integration is broken, sometimes remote video
will not show up, the raise hand feature crashes etc.

Regards,
Pawel
