[jitsi-users] System tray icon broken with Jitsi 2.0 and 2.2. on Sabayon Linux

#1

Hi there,

I tried Jitsi 2.0 and 2.2 on Sabayon (v2.0 is in the Sabayon repo by
the way).
In both versions there are two problems with the system tray icon.
1. The icon has an ugly, quadratic background.
2. The context menu of this icon will only permanently appear when you
press and hold the right mouse button. If you just press the right
mouse button, the context menu will appear and immidiately disappear.

I made a short screencast, so you can see for yourself:

Yeah ... unfortunately that's what it is supposed to look like. We'd be happy to have a different systray impl.

Same issue. We are currently using JDIC's systray implementation which hasn't been touched for the last six years. We'd be very happy to have a new one that works with modern Linux systrays.

Anyone interested in having a look?
