[jitsi-users] Some issues

#1

Hi,

a few days ago i found and installed jitsi to evaluate it. I was pleasantly
surprised by the features and the UI. I think its one of the best XMPP
clients out there.

But when I started to test MUC capabilities I missed some features.

1. I didn`t found a possibility to administrate a MUC room (like set a
password, make rooms persistent or not and so on). I think there is a
button for that feature (in the room UI) but its not clickable in 2.2
stable/2.3 nightly.

2. Private messages to/from/between MUC participants are not possible. MUC
participants in the room list are not clickable and if a participant is
sending a message to a jitsi client in that room, the message is not
showing up. There is no indication that someone is trying to send a private
message (http://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0045.html#privatemessage).

3.Before entering a MUC room jitsi asks about the desired nickname for that
room. But then the nickname is not used. Instead I enterd the room with my
full JID as nickname. Inside the room I can change my nickname without
problems.

So I think point three is a bug but the other two I am not so sure about.
The question is, are these features still in development or have I missed a
setting.

Thanks.
Dominik

Tested on 2.2.4603.9615 - x64, x86.

I found this messages on some site. I have a question - when these bugs
will be fixed. I want to use Jitsi in enterprise environment, but these
bugs are terrible, and users can't do work on normal way. We are small
company in the Russian. Maybe some donates motivates your devs? We have
some budget for this project. Be in touch.

I think point three is fixed in the latest nightly builds.
