[jitsi-users] small square in left upper corner

#1

Linux Xubuntu -14-04 3.13.0-53-generic #89-Ubuntu SMP Wed May 20 10:34:39 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Jitsi stable

When I start Jitsi I get small square in left upper corner
It remains on top of all other windows

How to avoid it?

Thanks

That sounds like the taskbar icon, which is handled in java and java has
problem using it correctly under linux.

With Fedora 20 it's at least in the taskbar, but with Fedora 21 and
(newer) Gnome, it's placed at (0,0) instead of the taskbar position.

Completly a java problem, nothing you can do about it.

Hi macach,

This is an issue caused by XFCE + Java systray support. It does not
happen 100% of the time, but it does happen often enough. There are
other Java programs that suffer from this.

I haven't found a solution to this yet. Up to now I have only read about
solutions that hint at using a native library to create the systray icon.
