I brought this up a few weeks ago, but I let it fall off the table. I've
been having trouble making outbound calls using SIP Communicator - I get
an error stating "Remote Party Sent a Faulty Session Description."
I've attached the log files. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Well there seems to be no SDP in the responses Jitsi gets from the
callcentric server. I just tried connecting to them and incoming calls
As for the outbound, at first I got the same error but for a different
reason: the SDP content I was getting in the 183 responses had an
"image" media line only, enumerating a number of T38 formats (some sort
of a fax service?). Other than that line there was no audio or video
stream proposed back to me.
I then tried disabling video (you can do this by unchecking all video
codecs in SC) and this time I got through.
I'd therefore suggest that the video media line in our SDP is causing
the callcentric servers to misbehave for some reason. Of course, they
are the only ones who can confirm or deny this so you might want to get
in touch with them .... or simply disable video in Jitsi and use them
Hope this helps,
