You could try disabling ICE in the account panel in Jitsi, log out then
back in (by unticking/ticking the corresponding checkbox).
Indeed, although this could only work if both parties are in the same
LAN or if the server knows how to transparently relay media (latching).
While this is quite common for SIP, few XMPP servers would behave this way.

I could call Pidgin via Google Talk sometimes and actually have 2 way
audio. But sometimes it just did not work (only ine way audio or none).
Try it, maybe you will bw lucky.
PS. Using Jitsi with ICE on both ends was 100% stable and reliable.
From your logs it would seem that the remote party was using pidgin.
Unfortunately pidgin does not currently have a proper ICE
implementation so it is impossible for jitsi to establish a
connection with it.
You may want to ask your contact to switch to something with standard
ICE support like Jitsi or Empathy for example.
Hope this helps,

I just installed Jitsi but I am unable to either call someone (for
example from my google talk list) or even to receive a call from
them. When they call me, a new pop up window is emerging in the
middle of the screen, so as to allow me to press the green phone
button for answering. Immediately after pressing this button, the
call fails and gets rejected. Same goes for the video calls.
I tried to play around a bit with the various settings and options
but to no avail!
Anyone that can enlighten me a little please???
Is there a help manual somewhere??
Any particular suggestions for the settings that one should adopt??
Thanx a lot in advance!
