[jitsi-users] processing .tmpl files

#1

Hi,

trying to build Fedora packages of jitsi (.spec file is available at https://gitorious.org/various-small-stuff/fedora-spec-files/blobs/master/jitsi.spec), and I don't know how to process .tmpl files in the debian/ folder. I can see for example that I have

classes/resources/install/debian/sip-communicator.desktop.tmpl
resources/install/debian/sip-communicator.desktop.tmpl

in my build directory, but I don't know how to process them to something useful (what applies to .desktop file is true for the manpage and starting shell script).

Any help?

Best,

Matěj

Hi,

the tmpl files are templates, the ant script is just replacing strings
in them, like application name. After the replacing they are renamed
by removing the .tmpl part. You can check in
resource/install/build.xml file for the substitution that is used in
that files.
