[jitsi-users] Problems with conference / some users don't listen or can't talk

#1

Hi,

I'm using jitsi for some months without too many problems. Sometimes I get
ICE failed errors and sometimes some of the users of a conference doesn't
listen to the others... Normally it was fixed just closing the conference
and opening a new one. But since yesterday It's impossible for me to have a
3 users conference, one way calls work perfectly but at the moment when
another user is called some of the users lose the sound...

I use my own ejabberd server with stun enabled, (it's missing proplerly SRV
dns since my host doesn't let me add SRV entries, if its very important I
could use some vps as dns server), I added jingle nodes too, it helped to
prevent a lot of ICE fail errors, but with conference I'm getting same
problem.

I also tried prosody with same results and turnserver instead internal
ejabberd stun module.

I also tried a lot of jitsi versions, currently I'm on 2.7.5395 on all
users.

I don't know what more can I try. Here is a portion of a log when a third
user is added to a two users call http://pastebin.com/9WPtxyJt

I can send more debug info and configuration files.

Ty in advance.

Fixed... ¿Maybe regression?

I swtiched to version 2.5.5065 and it's working again. The host is running
2.5 and the other computers are running 2.6.

Hi,

Me and Bobi made a quick test and we reproduced it initially. Then on
the second try only one of the participants wasn't hearing at all. Yes
there seems to be some problem, Bobi took a look at the packets and
nothing obvious.
Seems a problem on the focus side (as you have tested with old stable
on focus side and it works), seems like the focus is sometimes not
sending streams.
We will look at the problem when time permits.

Thanks for the report.

Regards
Damian

Hi,

there are some new about this problem? I'm stuck on 2.5.5065. Should I be
worried about security problems?

Great! Thanks a lot for your effort (and all developers).

I would like to help. I'm programmer but I suppose that I will need to
study a lot of the current code for being capable to do something and I
don't have too much free time at this time :frowning: However, If I can do some
testing/debugging please ask me.
