[jitsi-users] Pidgin to Jitsi OTR problem

#1

Hello,

when i try to use OTR over XMPP between Jitsi and Pidgin i get into
troubles when trying to initiate an OTR conversation from Pidgin. Seems
like Jitsi does not react. It shows this message instead:

?OTR?v2? xxx@xxx.xx has requested an Off-the-Record private conversation.
However, you do not have a plugin to support that. See
http://otr.cypherpunks.ca/ for more information.

However when i initiate a private conversation from Jitsi towards Pidgin,
all works well. This issue has been brought up already two times, but no
reply:

http://lists.jitsi.org/pipermail/users/2013-April/000328.html

and

http://lists.jitsi.org/pipermail/dev/2013-June/017299.html

I would like to open a ticket, however i'm not sure if this is an Jitsi
issue. I use Jitsi 2.2.4603.9615 and Pidgin Pidgin 2.10.0.

regards,
