Since the RPM package provided by Jitsi doesn't work on my openSUSE 11.4
machine, I added Jitsi to the package wishlist of openSUSE:
So if anyone's out there using openSUSE who wants to see Jitsi in the
official repositories, feel free to get an account and vote for it.
I'm maintaining an RPM (updated daily) for openSUSE in my private repository
on the Open Build Service.

then choose the appropriate subfolder for your openSUSE version.
If there's interest I can find the way to include it in the official repository.
By the way, there could be a problem: it must be chosen a version that will
go in the official repository, with the possibility to release infrequent bug fixes
(and only bug fixes). The official repository is not a really good place for
software that uses rolling release cycle, as Jitsi.
