[jitsi-users] P2P IPv6 calls

#1

Hi,

I have heard that P2P IPv6 calls still do not work in Jitsi.
Is it same at the moment?
We can get host names of correspondent phone nodes.
So we can exchange SIP messages directly with correspondent nodes.
P2P IPv6 calls is suitable for our system.

Thank you
akira

Last time I checked IPv6 was working fine. Where did you get that info from?

I found the information in Wikipedia "Comparison of VoIP software".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_VoIP_software#cite_note-10

How about P2P call support?
I found that Jitsi claims P2P support below.

This has long been fixed, probably in 2.6 but definitely in 2.8.

p2p calls is not something we recommend because of network limitations. While NAT is no longer one of them with IPv6, host based firewalls still are. Try it and see if works for you.
