[jitsi-users] Outlook presence integration

#1

Can someone please provide some guidance regarding 'Presence Integration
with Outlook feature' listed on the Jitsi features page
https://jitsi.org/Main/Features

How do I get this working? Is there an Outlook plug-in? Where do I download
that from?

You don't need to download anything. As long as you have contacts with
matching addresses, Jitsi will provide presence information to
Outlook. Which version are you using by the way?

I would love this also.

I see nothing in outlook at all. I do see outlook contacts in Jitsi, but nothing the other way.

Could Lync be interfering?

Hello Curtis,

I only know that Lync could lock the Outlook ".ost" files, and thus may block Jitsi to access these files too.

Can you try to stop Lync and then start again Jitsi and gives us feedback about it?

Regards,
Vincent

You don't need to download anything. As long as you have contacts with

Which version are you using by the way?

Outlook 2013.

I don't see anything next to any contact (not even a grey circle).

Also, I have "Enable Microsoft Outlook search" ticked. When I type something
into the search box it doesn't search my Outlook contacts.

Does this not work for Outlook 2013?

Hello kjcsb,

It was developed to work with Outlook 2010 and might work with 2013. However, I do not have Outlook 2013 tot test with: does anyone has a successful experience with this version?

Anyway, I think that Emil was asking about the Jitsi version you have installed. Moreover, if you already tried with the last nightly build, you may want to provide us your log files [0].

Regards,
Vincent
