[jitsi-users] No video in conference call

#1

Hi Andy,
Thanks for replying

I tried setting a single port with the min/max port option but it didn't
work.

With the min/max port set to a single port i can't even see the remote
video for the 1-2 seconds I could have before and the audio doesn't work.

I'm getting a lot of "Retrying a bind because of a failure to bind to
address"
messages.

I found this thread:
http://lists.jitsi.org/pipermail/users/2015-July/009732.html

which sound like a similar issue to mine, however , the issue was resolved
in that thread when opening the ports, so i;m not sure it is the same
problem.

if trying to use single-port option, shouldn't I make the changes mentioned
here:
https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-videobridge/blob/master/doc/single-port.md
???

i'm not sure the single-port is a good approach because on the same thread
i mentioned it is said that:

"The single-port approach doesn't have that limitation, but it is
relatively new and hasn't been as thoroughly tested."

Any other possible solution??

Thank you

If you use a port range, you need at least 1 port for each participant in the conference.

If you want to use the single-port mode, see here:
https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-videobridge/blob/master/doc/single-port.md
