Jigasi is a Jitsi gateway to/from SIP (JI - GA - SI).

SIP is a Voice over IP telephony protocol.

Jigasi allows people to join conferences over an (audio only for now) SIP connection, or to make calls to a SIP server. Depending on the configuration of the SIP server, this means you can include people using standard telephones in a Jitsi conference.
